I am a water nut. I love taking photos of water. Lakes, rivers, oceans, even little creeks are a favorite of mine to capture frame by frame. There is just something about water that moves me. So today I am sharing a bunch of photos I took on our little mini vacation this week. We started off at a place in St. James, MO called Maramac Spring Park, a private and state conservation combination park that is a trout hatchery. We don’t fish, but the view was very idyllic, quiet and still in the morning mists.
Tomorrow I’ll share photos of a couple of other places we stopped at, a nature sanctuary and a waterfall. See, I can’t help myself.

Love water too!
Just something about water, I can sit and watch it for a long time.
beautiful place…beautiful photos….would be a great place for a shoot
Yes it was, very quiet and nobody else was around, perfect. You had said you work from home, are you a professional photographer? Your photos are so beautiful. If you ever want to pass on some tips or critique me, I would love to hear them.
Not in the sense of the word. I use a lot of my photography with my design work. So, in a way you might say that qualifies. But I don’t go on assignment, do magazine spreads or shoot for nature magazines. I’m not one for critiquing but I’ll pass along some things from time to time.
Thank you, I am just getting into it so any suggestions will be well received.
love the mist, and the weathered fence on the corner foreground!
It was very early in the morning and it had rained the night before. Thank you for stopping and reading.
🙂 Anytime! I will check back often!
Wow – idyllic – did you take the dogs?
No we left the hooligans at a doggy spa. They got to meet and corrupt new dogs and we got to sleep alone just the two of us in bed. A very novel experience.
lovely shots
Thank you, Padmini.
Beautiful pictures!
Thank you.
