I love to be outdoors, hiking, pheasant hunting, playing with my dogs. And I love to take pictures of the things I see and write about my experiences. I don't take life too seriously, I poke fun at myself and just about everybody else. I've gotten selfish as I've gotten older.

Love the pics. What a contrast to Florida where our highest elevation is under 400′.
That’s amazing. Hurricane Charley passed directly over our home and it was devastating but nothing like what that area experienced. The terrain recovered in 8- 10 years.
It always strikes me just how long it takes for the terrain to recover
It’s lovely, still. I have family in the area, and at the time it was scary! I used to have a little bit of pumice from the eruption, but I think it is long lost now.

Thank you, it was quite a sight and the devastation to the blast area was awe striking. Some areas are still barren after 36 years.
