Here is another attempt at poetry. I think I like writing poetry. I’m not sure I’m very good, but it is fun.
Lost Love
Tears of a broken heart
Flow abashed down cheeks
Trust lost in a moment
Takes a lifetime to regain.
Pain deep in the core
Of one’s being
Will always just below
Waiting to resurface.
Eyes forever show
A haunted gaze
Remembering love lost
Wishing for a reprieve.
This was very good, Susan
Thank you. I like writing poetry, but have a lot to learn.
Your poetry (and prose) always comes from a deep place.
Thank you, I think. I hope I’m not coming off as too morbid. But I try to write with feeling and hope that the reader is able to see what I write. Plus it’s fun to write about magical mystical beings that don’t exist, (at least I don’t know if they exist).
keep it up
Thanks. Thank you for reading it.
